Stained, creased and wormed throughout, with some edges frayed, affecting side-notes. The plate after NNN6 is damaged and partially silked; DDDD5 is partially torn away and stained; both are also supplied in photostats from the British Museum copy. Contemporary blind-tooled calf binding over boards, re-backed, with corner bosses and a center boss, and evidence of clasps; front and back panels are enclosed by three rows of a roll including the heads of Erasmus, Huss, Luther, and Melancthon (compare to binder "F.D." in Oldham, John. English blind-stamped bindings. Cambridge, 1952, p.32, plate XXIX).
