  1. Evidence of two fore-edge clasps, hinging from the back cover and catching on the front. All parts except the top hasp and strap are extant. (2)
  2. Evidence of two fore-edge clasps, hinging from the back cover and catching on the front. Catch plates, fragments of single layer leather straps, and strap nails extant. Hasps are missing. (5)
  3. Evidence of two fore-edge clasps, hinging from the back cover and catching on the front. Fragment of one strap indicates it was a laminated alum tawed strap without a vellum core. Evidence of full complement of metal furniture, corner and center pieces. Only shadows and original nails extant. (5)

The two fluted catch plates on the back cover are still extant. (4)
