Eevidence and remains of two fore-edge clasps, hinging from the back and catching on the front cover, fragment of the alum tawed straps indicate that they were a laminate without a vellum liner, only the strap plates are extant. Hole at the top of the back board indicate that it once was a chained binding. (1)
