  15. Multi colored striped fantasy marble pattern in red, yellow, dark blue, and light blue. (3)

  17. Multi panel gilt cover with the frames tooled with single and double line fillets that are stopped at the corners with gilt dot. In the center is a wide decorative roll with massed volutes with rosettes, cones and berries. At angles is an inverted triangular floral stamp with a quatrefoil floret stamp tooled on top. The same triangular floral stamp is tooled upright at the top and bottom of the inner panel. In the middle of the sides are two joined rectangular floral stamps with an angled double line frame that are tooled back to back. The spine is divided into seven gilt panels framed with double lines and filled with overlapping passes of the wide decorative roll with massed volutes with rosettes, cones and berries. The board edges are gilt with a fern-tip filled curve decorative roll. The turn-ins are blind tooled with the wide decorative roll with massed volutes with rosettes, cones, and berries. (3)

  19. Multipaneled covers divided by blind tooled variable-width double line fillet. The inner panels are blind-tooled with medallion rolls of Judith, Lucretia, and Venus dated 1552. (Cf. Haebler, K. Rollen- und Plattenstempel des XVI. Jahrhunderts, II, p. 29). The spine was originally blind tooled above and below the bands with the variable width double line fillet, which was continued onto the cover and joined. The board edge is blind tooled with a single line fillet. The turn-in squares are also tooled with blind tooled fillets. (2)
