Decorative Description:
Blind tooled to a 17th century corner and centerpiece design, with an outer frame blind tooled with two single line fillets. The corners were blocked with a dotted ground strap work and floral work corner pieces. The center is blocked in blind with a hatched ground centerpiece. The spine is divided into six panels with the author and title gilt in the second panel. All others are blind tooled within a wide frame with corner brackets and a center ornament. The board edges are blind tooled with a hatched decorative roll.
