Decorative Description:
Blind tooled, with two panels framed with four line fillet boarders filled with an intertwining S-tool rope pattern and an intricate figure eight rope tool repeated. The innermost panel is filled with five quadrangular ropework knot stamps, A diced crisscross design made from double line lines fill the extant panels on the spine. Also on the spine is a later spine label in paper with inscription of author, title, imprint, and shelfmarks "4966", and "714" (in a different ink). Original vellum flyleaves now shrunk and cockled. Lowermost panel on the spine has been infilled with Japanese paper painted with acrylic paint.
