New white flyleaves and older paste-downs.
Closures: 
Two bullet brass clasps. Only catches and strap plates extant. Evidence of corner pieces. On the front cover is an irregular brass plate nailed and formed over the board edge. Evidence of probable chain attachment attached at the bottom edge of the back board.
Decorative Description: 
The front and back boards are both blind tooled and divided into panels divided by triple line fillets. On the front board the outer panel has pelican stamps at the corners and the rest of the panels are filled with repeated square broadleaf floral design within a diamond stamp. The center panel is filled with merrythought (wishbone) stamp. Scattered overall are small five leaf rosettes. The back cover is paneled as the front is but with a diaper (crossed) center panel. In all of the open spaces there are either a broad leaf and floral stamp, or a pelican in a lozenge, or a dragon in a lozenge stamp.
