Decorative Description: 
Around the border of the calf binding is a double gilt line fillet with the arms of Charles Spencer, Earl of Sunderland gold tooled in the center of both covers. The board edges are gilt with an anthemion and enclosed star decorative roll.
Other Details: 
Text-block extensively treated. It was brittle due to early treatment to the paper. The paper was washed, leafcast, split, and finally resewn.
