Evidence of two clasps catching on the front covers, missing, one strap plate and remnants of double layer tanned leather straps. Evidence of center and corner pieces.
Decorative Description: 
Sheepskin blind tooled with a triple line border and a triple line cross, and saltire tooled with a single line fillet. A diamond pattern tooled with a single line. The alum tawed spine rebacking was tooled with a guilloche and anthemion decorative roll tooled twice inverted between triple line fillet boarders. There is a vellum label on front cover with title "[H]istoria scolastica" and two superposed paper labels, the upper label with shelfmark "B2" superseding an earlier one also bearing inscription in red paint; title inscription on spine with another pencilled inscription "Biblica [...?]" partially illegible; evidence of a small rectangular label on spine, with two other superposed labels in vellum.
