Inscriptions on front pastedown: "Obijt año 72. Mr̃s Mort.[?] 24 Req[ui]escat cũ alijs piis defunctis pace sempiterna Ludo[vi]c[us] Fabrj Alckilchensis", "Jacobo Strathie de oberreüthj pr[a]esbi. me addixi 15. Año 73", "Sum ex libris Laure[n]tij Fischer Rheinfeldensis 1593", and "Loci Reinfelde[n]sis"; another ownership inscription of Laurentius Fischer on t.p. with date "1592" followed by inscription "R. P. Capuccinis ibidem do. dd."; another inscription at head of leaf a2r "Loci FF. Capuccinorũ Friburgi Brisgoiae"; other inscriptions at end of book and on back pastedown (some of them ownership inscriptions?), defaced, illegible. Purchased in 1924.

Covering Material: 
Alum tawed pigskin.
Sewn on three raised double cords laced through the thick wooden boards.
Endbands of beige and white linen with a front bead sewn over alum tawed support laced through the boards.
End Papers: 
Single flyleaf and pastedown sewn with first and last sections.
Two fore-edge clasps, catching on the front board. Catches are delicate flared and shaped with hasps missing. Rectangular strap plates still holding remnants of tanned leather straps, catches and strap plates nailed with iron nails. Metal corroded.
Decorative Description: 
Blind tooled in a panel design created with a four line fillet filled with a large floral scroll roll edged with a dotted line. Vellum title label on front cover; green paper labels on spine, one of them with inscription "Y,n. 26." in brown ink (also appearing at head of front pastedown); another white paper label on spine with date of printing.
