Sewn on three alum-tawed thongs laced onto the wooden boards and secured with iron nails.
Headbands: 
Primary endband sewn with linen thread over a tawed core with remnants of a secondary herring bone sewing using green and rose thread.
End Papers: 
Single paper flyleaf and paste-down.
Closures: 
Remnants of two clasps catching from front to back. Three star nails on the front cover holding the leather straps that had been lined with vellum. On the back cover are trefoil shaped catches embossed with a three stemed flowering plant.
Decorative Description: 
Covers blind tooled to a four panel design, using a triple line fillet. The first and third panels are linked with same fillet at the corners. The second panel is filled with a repeated guilloche stamp with a small rondel in the center. The center panel is filled with repeated impressions of a bar of crisscrosses that is 3.6 mm long and 6 mm wide.
