Gilt four panel design framed with a triple line fillet with a center rope design. The outer frame has a dog tooth roll on the inner part of the frame. At the corners is a small gilt solid rosette. In the first panel at angles is a tulip and rosette florets and along the frame are two triangular scroll fleurons. The center panel has a broad leaf scroll and quatrefoil rosette roll tooled inside the inner most frame. In the center is a rondel with the arms of Richard Musgrave (Musgrave de Edenhall). The spine is divided into seven panels. The second is gilt with the author and title; all others are filled with scroll corner brackets, with double anthemion and a six petal rosette within a mandorla center design. The board edges are gilt with a single line fillet. The turn-ins are gilt with a mandorla and fan gilt decorative roll.
