Decorative Description: 
The covers are tooled with a narrow border of a gilt two line fillet stopped at the corners with a gilt dot. In the center of the cover is a gilt crest of William Prest, a horse's head with a corn stalk in its mouth. The spine is divided into six panels with Katherine De Medicis gilt on a darker calfskin label in the second panel. All the other panels are framed with gilt double lines, and in the upper panel is a small version of the gilt horses head crest. The board edges are gilt with a single line fillet, the turn-ins are gilt with narrow gilt two line fillet stopped at the corners with a gilt dot.
