Decorative Description: 
Gold tooled to a two panel design with the frames of the panels tooled with a triple line fillet. At angles in the outer panel is a monogram stamp of WHM. In the center of the inner panel is the gilt coat of arms of William Henry Miller surrounded by a laurel wreath. The spine is divided into six panels with gilt lines and two line pin-head fillet frames. The author and title are gilt in the second panel, London and the date is gilt in the third, all others are tooled with a small gilt WHM monogram. The board edges are gilt with a narrow double line fillet. The turn-ins are gilt with a floret between a tulip topped arc covered rosettes decorative roll, and double line fillet with pin-dot in-between roll and a cats tooth roll. The binding is signed BOUND BY F. BEDFORD in the lower middle front cover turn-in.
