Sewing: 
Sewn on three recessed alum tawed (pink colored on one side) supports laced straight though the boards.
Headbands: 
Silver wire thread and white silk headband with front bead over a dark rolled core.
Edge Treatment: 
Gilt and gauffered on all three edges, with pointille fleurons and five pointed stars.
End Papers: 
Single bifolio flyleaf, no paste-downs.
Decorative Description: 
The covers were gilt all over with a back to back fern-tip decorative border frame. The inner panel is filled with striated lozenges and full and half rosette centered fleurons with stars centered in the vertical voids. The smooth spine is tooled like the cover with the exception that the voids are filled with a eight pointed starburst stamp. The board edges are gilt with an egg roll.
