Decorative Description:
The covers are gilt in a two panel design with the frames tooled with variably spaced triple line fillets with the monogram of William Henry Miller gilt at angles in the outer panel. In the center panel is a wreath with the monogram in the center surrounded by five pointed stars. The spine is divided in to six panels with the author, title, London, the publisher, and the date gilt in the second, third and fourth panels. The remaining panels are framed with corner bracket with the monogram in the center surrounded by stars and fleurons. The board edges are gilt with a very narrow double line fillet. The turn-ins are gilt with a berry and fleuron decorative roll gilt fillets and pin-dot rolls and a fern-tip roll. The binders name, F. Bedford, is gilt in the center of the lower turn-in.
