Decorative Description:
The covers are simply tooled with a gilt double line fillet border. The spine is divided into six panels with the author and title gilt on a red leather label in the second panel. The date is gilt on a black leather label in the third panel. All the panels are framed with gilt double line and a crosshatched line in the middle. The remaining panels have the crest of Frederick Trench (an armored sinister couped arm grasping a scimitar) gilt in the center with six petal flower at the corners.
