Smooth spine of six gilt compartments, outlined by a cat's tooth pallet, with fleurs-de-lis and cartouche. A pin-head fillet runs around the edges of the boards and the tailcap (headcap now missing). The cat's tooth also decorates the turn-ins.

The initials "A L" on the covers are evidently those of Anne Lake, of whom nothing is known. This is the only book recorded with her printed ownership label.
