The covers are blind tooled to a two panel design. The frames are tooled with a double line fillet. At angles in the outer panel are small hatched ground cross with a tear drop center. In the inner panel are three Tudor rose in a circle stamps with hatched background tooled vertically. At the corners are blind tooled ivy leaf stamps and in the center are fleur-de-lis stamps. The spine is divided into six panels with the title gilt on a burgundy calfskin label in the second panel. The other panels are blind tooled with a double line frame with small ivy leaf corner stamps and a larger ivy leaf stamp in the center. The date is gilt at the bottom panel. The board edges and turn-ins are gilt with an acanthus leaf vine with rosettes and pomegranate decorative roll. The binder's signature stamp is tooled at the bottom of the verso of the marble paper flyleaf: BOUND BY HAYDAY.
