Decorative Description:
The covers are tooled with a decorative border of a gilt double line fillet and a wide feather and scrolled spear point decorative roll. At angles is a blind tooled anthemion, acanthus, and leaf corner stamp. The smooth spine is divided into six panels by wide flat bands tooled with gilt double lines. The author and tile and Book 1, and London 1615 are gilt in the second, fourth, and sixth panels. The other panels have gilt leafy scroll corner brackets, filled with a gilt framed medallion stamp in the center. The board edges and turn-ins are gilt with a fern covered scroll decorative roll.
