Sewn on three recessed hemp cord supports that do not correspond to the five false bands on the spine.
Headbands: 
Double tiered with a front bead sewn with green, red, and yellow silk thread.
Edge Treatment: 
Gilt on all three edges.
End Papers: 
Dark blue leather inner joint with two blank flyleaves and a single yellow flyleaf and yellow doublure.
Decorative Description: 
The covers are tooled with a gilt single line fillet border with decorative corner stamps, and a pointille border filled with a forget-me-not with a tulip and a columbine flower on a stem on a pin-dot ground. The spine is divided into six panels with gilt liens above and below the false raised bands. The title is gilt in the second panel. The other panels have a gilt circle in the center surrounded by blind tooled small tools, dots, circles fleurons, pointille arcs and trefoils. The board edges are gilt with a crosshatched roll at the corners. The turn-in is gilt with a single line fillet stopped at the corners by gilt dot. Around the margin of the doublure is a decorative roll with intertwining vine with columbine flowers.
