The diced pattern on the covers is tooled with a single gilt pin-dot and pearl decorative roll. The spine is divided into six panels with a gilt rope roll tooled on top of and above and below the bands. The title is gilt in the second panel, and the author and date are gilt in the fourth panel. All of the other panels are filled with a decorative crested roll. The board edges are gilt with the rope roll.
