Sewing: 
Sewn on four double raised hemp cord supports.
Headbands: 
Endband beige, and white linen thread with a front bead sewn over a vellum wrapped cord attached to the boards.
Edge Treatment: 
Stenciled pink with an S scroll and rosette pattern over a striped pink and natural edge. The top has an ink inscription with the title, and on the bottom edge there is a triumphant cross with orb.
End Papers: 
Single blank flyleaf and paste-down.
Decorative Description: 
The covers are tooled with an outer frame of triple line fillets with an S scroll and triple line decorative roll tooled in-between. At angles are gilt a three flower stamp. In the center of the front cover is the coat of arms of Franz Gottfried von Troilo (crowned lion crest above a helm on a shield, with acanthus supporters, surrounded by a wide laurel wreath, with the initial "T" tooled above). On the back cover is the same boarder and initial "T" but with a different crest of a Phoenix on a nest of twigs that is in flames, with the motto "Unita Semper…."
