Decorative Description:
The covers are tooled with a three panel design. The outer frame is gilt with a lozenge and cube decorative roll. The middle frame is gilt with a double line fillet. The inner frame is gilt with a variable spaced triple line fillet. Around the middle frame is decorative tooling using a pointillè arc with an "S" tool and dots underneath. In the center of the sides is an ornament of pointillè volutes with dots and circles. At the corners at angles is a pointillè tulip stamp with a rosette in the center. In the inside of the inner panel is a wide gilt decorative floral vine roll. The spine is divided into seven panels all framed with triple lines. The title is gilt in the second panel. All the other panels are filled with volute corner brackets and a center ornament built of back to back tear drop shaped heart stamps surrounded by circles. The board edges and turn-ins are gilt with a covered rosette decorative roll.
