Decorative Description:
The covers are gilt with a double panel design made of double and single line fillets. At angles in the outer panel is the gilt cipher of Charles II. The spine is divided into five panels with the title ALMANACKS, MDCLXXV, gilt in the second compartment. All the other panels are framed with a covered rosette decorative roll and are filled with corner volute brackets at the corners and a berry filled cartouche center ornament. The board edges are gilt with the covered rosette decorative roll.
