Decorative Description:
The covers are gilt with a single line fillet border. The spine is divided into three panels with the title gilt on a brown goatskin label in the second panel framed with a fern-tip roll and the title tooled vertically from bottom to top. At the head and foot of spine are identical armorial crests (Latham family?) of an eagle with a human head perched atop a large human head. The board edges are gilt with a single line fillet.
