Decorative Description:
|
The cover is tooled with a gilt variable spaced triple line fillet border. In the center of the cover is an oval gilt coat of arms, with a helm above a shield with chevron between two escallops in chief and a rosette in base. The spine is divided into six panels, each framed with gilt double lines. The title is gilt in the second panel and the volume number is gilt in the third. All the other panels have volute corner brackets and a gilt Monogram in the center M? or H? V? with an 8 in the middle. The board edges are gilt with a decorative roll.
