Decorative Description:
|
The covers are gilt overall with a compartmental design with the frames gilt with strapwork colored black. The open fields are gilt with repeated impressions of a pointille covered floret. In the center of the inner panel is a large ornament built of "stuffed" drawer handle tools colored black with fleurons with pomegranates. The smooth spine is divided into five framed panels blind tooled with a dotted tongue roll and tooled with corner volute brackets and a bouquet in a vase center stamp.
