Decorative Description:
The covers are blind tooled with a variable-width triple line fillet border and with a blind stamped coat of arms of Queen Elizabeth I, stamped upside down. (The binder did not look into the volume beyond the endpapers to determine the orientation of the embossing stamp.) The spine is divided into five panels, with single blind lines above and below the raised bands, and double lines above and below the kettle stitch, which was further tooled with a cross hatched roll. The board edges are blind tooled with a single line fillet.
