1/2 leather bound in brown treecalf with shell pattern marble paper sides.
Sewing: 
Sewn on 5 single raised bands laced through the boards.
Headbands: 
Missing but with bright red thread remnants.
Edge Treatment: 
Speckled green.
End Papers: 
Off white handmade paper.
Decorative Description: 
The leather is not tooled, the marble paper is in red green and blue. The spine divided into six panels, with gilt single line gouges above and below the raised bands. The second panel is gilt lettered SHAKESPEAR on a black calfskin label framed with a gilt flower on a vine roll.
