Sewn on three raised slit pink alum-tawed thongs. Pastedowns and single endpapers (not stitched on). Rounded and backed spine with vellum lining put down onto the inside of the boards. Four stuckon leather half-bands appear to have been brought over onto the outside of the boards. Blue edges. Endbands worked with a linen primary sewing over alum-tawed core, tied down through the vellum spine linings, and a secondary sewing in green and pink(?) silk. Head- and tailcaps slit to accommodate endbands. Mitered corners. Remnants of two green textile fore-edge ties.

LIVII CO/ NCIONES.," and "PHILIPPVS/ A.MAVGIS./M.D.XXXVII." All raised bands on the spine edged with a three- and four-line pallet. A hatched gilt roll covers the four half-bands. A thin blind fillet decorates the extreme edges of the turn-ins.
