Tooled with a gilt double line fillet frame with a five petal flower gilt over the corners. A floral bouquet in a vase is gilt at angles. The title, and author and date are gilt on the front covers above and below the gilt coat of arms and monogram of William Henry Miller. The smooth spine is divided into six panels by gilt double line and pointille dot pallet. The author is gilt along the spine from bottom to top in the second panel, all others are filled with an elongated quatrefoil floral ornament. The board edges and turn-ins are gilt with a solid and pin dot crosshatched roll.
