Decorative Description: 
Gold tooled triple line fillet border frame with the gilt coat of arms of Jacques Auguste de Thou, three gadflies, and his second wife Gasparde de La Chastre stamped in the center. The spine is divided into seven panels. All have been framed with gilt double lines. The author and title are gilt in the second and third panel. All others have the interlaced monogram initials IAGG.
