Decorative Description:
Blind tooled with three panels, the frames built of variable width triple line fillets. The outer panel is empty, but the second panel is filled with a back to back guilloche and anthemion decorative roll. In the center panel is a saltire panel that is blind tooled with a medallion head decorative roll (Oldham, plate XLIX, HM. h(8) #833). The spine (rebacked) is divided into five panels with the title gilt on a beige leather label in the second panel.
