Notes (Hamnet):
Subject: Depicts man in suit of armour, standing, his left arm around a lady in a pink gown who is turned to him, her head resting on his left shoulder, her eyes lowered. The man's right arm is extended to his right and holds a sword which is pointed to the ground. Subject attribution is taken from pencil note on backing of Folger copy. Drawing differs in mood from the usual depiction of the scene between Hotspur and his Lady.
