beaten, half a pound of licoras searced, and half a
pound of Annyseed searced, an ounce of Elicampana
root es made in poulder, and mingle all these
together, and take the same poulder half a spoonefull
at a tyme, When you goe to bedd & when you rise

Take Barrowes or Boares greace, and iii. or
iiii. Cloves of garlick, and stampe them together,
and warme annoynt thy feete therwith at the going
to bedd, and so keepe them hoat with a toasted trencher
and warme Clothes, and then shalt finde great
ease therein: This is good for the Chincough
Chincough. of Children, Cough of the loungs, and all other
kindes of Coughes./
A lyke remedy for the Cough
Cough. The light es & lung es of a ffoxe beaten into poulder,
and vsing a quarter of a spoonefull thereof euery
day in a litle Almond milke or broth, helpeth
the Cough, preserveth the loungs, and is very
good for the wheazinge, for short & painfull draw=
ing of the breath, and helpeth the streightnes of
the breast & liver. Hither doth appertayne all the
medecines before expressed, to the purging and
opening of the breast, and enlargeing of the

A speciall good medecine and a pretious
against the Cough, Tizik, and wheasing
in the breast, to Comfort all spirituall
partes of a man, the head, the heart, the
stomack, the liver, the lightes, and [leg] lung es
Cough and
wheasing./ Take flower de luce, Smallage, lavage, Radish
liquoras, saxifrage, half a handfull of eu er y of the,
of Stammarche & fennell, a full handfull of eyther
of them, stamp them altogether, and so after steepe
them .24: houres in vinagre a quart, And when +
thou seethest them vpon the fire, Then putt ther u n to
a pottle of fayre running water, and lett it seethe
till the one half be Consumed, And so after
