To make Aqua Mirabilis/
Take Gallingall Cloves Cubibs Cardimum mace
Nutmegs Ginger of Each two drams, Mellilott Flowers
one handfull, & a pinte of the Iuice of Salendine, of the
Iuice of mint, & Balme halfe a pinte of Each, & mingle all
the spices being beaten into a powder with the Iuice, with a
quart of Brandy, two quarts of white wine; & one quart of
Sack put all those into a still over Night, your still being well

To make a Cordiall Water
Take fiue pintes of the best white wine, Balme, & Bittony
of Each halfe a handfull well pickt, one quart of Rosemary
Flowers, halfe a quarter of a peck of Cowslips One ounce And
a quarter of the best Cinamon, 3 quarters of an Ounce of
Nutmegs both Cutt or sliced, one Ounce of Cloues, put these into a
New Earten Pitcher with a Cover close Wrapt About with
a Cloath, Lett those stand 3 dayes & Every ^ day stir It, & then
After you have put them into the still, past that vp with Rye

Take the outward Rinde of a hundred of Oranges & pare
them very thin that none of the white be on them, then steep
them for a day on Two in soe much sack as will cover them
then putt in soe much sack more as will make it vp full six
quarts, putt in two quarts of Brandy put altogether into An
Alembick lett itt be well luted if you would have your water
stronger, Augment your quantity of Brandy & decrease itt
in your sack you may draw six quarts of water & when you
haue drawne it then mix It all together & sweeten It
with a Little loafe sugar to your pallate soe Bottle It vp
